about VIN BON MILTON

Meet Our Master Winemaker

Discover his journey and the meticulous process behind each bottle, where quality, tradition and innovation come together in every pour.

Vitaly Kiy

Born in Kazakhstan, Vitaly Kiy had no prior connection to the world of wine until a pivotal business trip to France. It was at a reception where he first tasted a Bordeaux wine that he found himself captivated by its rich flavors and complexities.

Upon moving to Canada, Vitaly discovered a neighbor who crafted his own wine, which sparked his interest in the winemaking process. What began as a simple hobby quickly evolved into a passion, as he immersed himself in the intricacies of winemaking and the endless opportunities for creativity and discovery it offered.

Though he once considered purchasing a vineyard, Vitaly recognized that it would be a steep learning curve. Instead, when the opportunity arose to transition from the corporate world to entrepreneurship, he seized the chance to open a Vin Bon franchise in Milton. Today, as the owner and master winemaker, he continues to explore his passion for wine while sharing that enthusiasm with his community.

How It All Started

Vin Bon was created in 1979. At Vin Bon, we craft each batch, one at a time, keeping each customer’s personal taste in mind. We start with exceptional quality fresh juice and grapes imported from around the World and crafted by our own Master Winemaker.

We are Ontario’s largest Boutique Micro Winery with almost 40 years as a craft winery, offering a truly custom-vinting experience.
